Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to treat almost every illness and health challenge known. It uses delicate, sterile needles to stimulate the body’s self-healing abilities by applying gentle pressure to acupuncture points. These points occur along energy pathways, known as meridians, which interact directly with all the major systems of the body. Acupuncture creates greater balance in the body in order to improve general health, and to relieve current symptoms. Digestive difficulties, musculoskeletal complaints, headaches, a weak immune system, migraines, menstrual problems, chronic pain, injuries and sleeping problems are just a few of the conditions acupuncture can help.

We offer two styles of acupuncture: Kototama Life Medicine (a Japanese system) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). They use different diagnostic techniques and have differences in their underlying philosophies, but are similar in their execution and results. Both integrate handwork, acupressure, dietary counseling and herbal support with the needling. The treatments are very relaxing, and the patient remains clothed. Our acupuncturists remain in the room during the entire session, available for health counseling and questions.
