Todd Strimple
Todd Strimple found his way to massage through his yoga practice. One day, after reflecting on the allopathic model of fixing someone after they break, he asked himself if it was possible for people to take care of themselves so that they did not need to break. Yoga had revealed one answer to this question. The inquiry led to studying energy work, and eventually massage, diet and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In 2003, Todd completed over a thousand hours of training at the Heartwood Institute. He spent an intensive year living in a residential program studying the body, practicing qi gong, and eating the whole foods diet provided by Heartwood. Quite literally, this year profoundly transformed his life.
Now, Todd likes to share what he has found through bodywork. Whether he is doing Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Release for injuries and chronic holding patterns or Swedish Massage and Zen Shiatsu, to release the stresses of modern life, Todd will find some combination to bring relief to your body. Many years of living in mountain towns has given Todd the opportunity to work with everyone from tourists seeking relaxation to hard-core athletes seeking improved performance.
Todd continues to study the body and also shares his learning at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe as a teaching assistant in the massage program since 2011.
