Maria Chilton has been a practicing massage therapist since graduating from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 1995. Specializing in full-body massage while employing deep-listening to seamlessly incorporate various modalities with appropriate pressures from gentle to firm to meet the needs of clients in the present moment. The client is left feeling whole in body, mind, and spirit, with a renewed sense of ease.
The foundations of Maria’s work derive from multiple backgrounds, including Swedish massage, polarity therapy, Shiatsu, Reiki, reflexology, Cranial Sacral, and La Stone Therapy (massage using hot and cool stones.) With that said, her goal is to dissolve the categories and labels associated with “techniques” and return to the intuitive and creative roots of therapeutic massage. The result is a harmonized approach, whereby treatments are individualized based upon the needs of the client.
Maria has extensive experience and is entirely comfortable working with people of all ages, including children. She is also experienced in pre-natal massage, oncology massage, hospice, and palliative care.

Maria is also the owner and operator of Little RiverRemedies, a small herbal apothecary. Currently Maria teaches Massage and Intuitive Touch at The New Mexico School of Massage in Santa Fe.
